SCENOGRAPHY.WORLD: PUBLIC INTERFACE & XRMUSEUM
The open access repository, maintained by individual creators, forms the foundation for a range of activities facilitated through Dynamisch Archief (DNA).
The works are to be curated and presented at Scenography.World, the platform's public interface and XRMuseum.
Scenography, in this context, extends beyond traditional stage design and encompasses various forms of digital representations and hybrid experiences. Through VR exhibitions, experiments, reconstructions and designs, DNA seeks to foster high-quality work and drive the professionalization of the contemporary creative field.
The platform's open and flexible database structure, maintained by individual creators, enables digital presentations in an unlimited variety of formats. Essentially, the DNA collection catalogue serves as the groundwork for activities initiated and executed by curators, exhibition designers and architects.
‘Scenography.World’ functions as the public interface of the platform and turns the activities and ideas into a surprising and inviting public space.

Apocalypse
VR RECONSTRUCTION AND NEW DESIGN OF THE APOCALYPSE
In 2023 the Stedelijk presented five decades of artistry by multi-talented Felix de Rooy (Curaçao, 1952) with film, theater and visual arts in countless forms from paintings to assemblages and from (digital) collages to wall hangings. Far ahead of his time, De Rooy investigated topics that are still relevant today, including the impact of the colonial past, everyday racism and the meaning of Afro-Caribbean and queer identities in art.
New VR design: a composite version of the Apocalypse in the Stedelijk Museum 2023 and the publication EGO DOCUMENTA, both designed by René Wissink (Atelier Argos).

Scenography today
Dynamisch Archief interprets the current meaning of the word scenography more broadly than the original limited classification to the theatre environment:
Since the 80s, the meanings of scenography have broadened as museum presentations of objects, installations, performances, happenings, etc. have become scenes in themselves. Scenography.World as a public space shows all of the different facets of scenography in theatre, art, design, music, politics, daily life, AI and more…
